About Stuart

I was born in Pretoria, South-Africa, and have been using design and multimedia related programs since I was 6 years old. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ I really started my multimedia career at Lifescapes International, INC, located in Newport Beach, CA - an international landscaping company well known for designing exquisite landscapes for projects such as the casino's in Las Vegas and Macau (China). When I arrived in the company I started from the ground up as the sole graphic artist, but we eventually had a full fledged Graphics Department, doing everything from Presentation Boards, Image Boards, Printing, Color Management, and Booklet Design... to Digital-Coloring of architectural plans, Promotional Videos, Scanning, and Photography. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Working at Lifescapes gave me the drive to always improve my work ethic, organization skills, communication skills, and worth as a Graphic Artist. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ During those years I was also involved in intensive projects for Iocaine Studios and eventually decided to devote all my time to the computer game company- a dream come true as I was invited to be a co-owner of the company, and as such the Lead Artist of Iocaine Studios, an Independent game studio location in Yorba Linda, California. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Working at Iocaine Studios gave me immeasurable experience as an Graphic Artist and Business Owner in such a large industry. It has shown me just how much dedication it takes to start and run a business. The most enjoyable part of the experience is the ride itself. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Since the job at Iocaine Studios I have gone on to be involved in the creation of two new multimedia related companies. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ The first being WESTof1 PRODUCTIONS (Newport Beach, CA) - which focuses on creating high-quality video productions and is based in Newport Beach, CA. The company has created video's for clients such as DJculture.com's DJ Simply Jeff, and the Elite Hockey Training facility known as Barron Hockey Academy located here in California. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ The other company I have refined over the past few years is called "Stuart Lawson Design Services." http://design.stuartml.com - This company focuses on providing competitively affordable, high-quality web-development services with fast-paced development turnarounds.
